Hi all,
I inherited a Haynes flute with the US Quarte Master Corps engraving and a fairly early serial number (5122) which points to 1919 according to online sources. I did bring it in to my local instrument repair person (a shop in Berwyn, Illinois whose owner is in he 70s or 80s) and he checked it out and gave the movement and seals good marks, but I'll bring it back for general cleaning and maintenance.
What is something like this worth? What care should I give it for long term maintenance (I won't be able to play it, but might gift it or pass it along).
Cheers,
Rob Poe
