My new flute arrived today and it
came with a little container of cream of some sort. What do I use this for? Is
it to go on the joints where the flute is put together? Thanks so much! Lu

Either for the joints or it might
be a silver-polishing cream if your flute is silver. Does it say anything on the
container? To maintain your flute, the most important thing is to wipe it from
the inside and out after each use. The cream you won't use much anyway. Take a
look at the flute maintenance video lesson for proper flute assembly and
maintenance, it will help you. Welcome to Fluteland.com and best of luck with
your playing!

It probably is just for the joints
where the flute comes together, but you should ask someone more credible than
me, call a music store or consult a teacher.
