Armstrong model 81

Post by gsm01 »

I recentley purchased an Armstrong 81 (1973) inline, open hole, c foot flute. I got it because it has a very nice sound, however I was hoping someone out there could give me some background on this model. I have tried numerous Armstrong dealers with absolutely no luck what so ever. I have also tried to contact Con- Selmer about the subject and they to have no records going back that far, a fire, company changing hands, excuses excuses they were no help at all. So if anyone has a clue please share it with me.
Thanks

If you have the serial number of your flute, you could find out its approximate age, and maybe then the manufacturer could help you with getting more info.
