Yamaha 385 II flute

Hi everyone!

I'm hoping someone might be able to give me an idea of what a used Yamaha 385 II open holed flute with a B foot, silver head and gold mouth piece might be worth?

I have a friend who might sell hers to me and I want to give her fair price.

Keep in mind this is not a current model that Yamaha sells but is in great condition. I just need a ballpark price to be sure the places I take it to get appraised aren't jerking me around.

Internet searches are ranging everywhere from $200 to $800. She said her parent's spent like $500 on it around 2001.

It's looking like eBay auctions are going between $300 and $400 if you search completed listings. I think a fair offer on it is probably about $350 if it is in good condition.

Yeah, I agree. $350 seems fair considering you're probably going to have to sink at least $100 into having it serviced if it hasn't seen a technician in a year or more.
