I played one with the D4 headjoint last year. It was a very nice flute and seemed a good value to me BUT I didn't find it much different from the Jupiter 711. I didn't try the D2 or D1 headjoint that it normally comes with, however, so that is likely a big factor.

I'd get the 711 instead (in fact, I did :) ). Why? Both are solid silver head+body+foot with the same scale and similar build quality. What you're paying extra for in the 911 is mainly a better headjoint. The 711 headjoint was OK enough and if I were paying extra for a really nice headjoint it wouldn't be a Jupiter.

Correction: the 911 has a silver plated body, while the 711 is solid silver throughout. This makes the 711 even more compelling.
