Hi, I was wondering has anyone heard of tmj? Well i have it and now
''m not allowed to play the flute. I''m in the middle of my Bmus so i need
help plus i really miss my flute!! Thanks in advance,[:)] Strawberry

I have tmj and I can still play the flute. Hmm...

I have Tmj and play the flute. I wear a special nightguard
at night to prevent clenching. I don't eat very hard or chewy foods..I'm sure
after the initial flare up, you'll be able to play.

Wow, I guess this is a common problem with flute players,
because I also have tmj. It is very uncomfortable, but I continued to play and
it has gotten a little better. It did have a very bad flare up when I started
playing piccolo though. I'll have to go to my doctor and ask him about
mouthgaurds and things
