Gemeinhardt M2S

Post by mpt031471 »

I recently bought my daughter a Gemeinhardt M2S from an older lady who had quit playing long ago (before she sold it to me she had it serviced, cleaned and new pads). It looks and plays great for my daughter who is only a second year player. I am told I got a great deal for $200 because it is sterling silver head, body and foot (not silver plated). What do you all think?

I am also owner of a M2S Solid Silver Gemeinhardt, I bought it in 1983… As I am also a saxophonist ( Selmer Tenor ), I had spent some time without playing my flute, but in these day I returned to play flute and after varios days of 2-3 hours daily practice I am enjoying a nice tone. This flute , since 1983 , has needed only one visit to a technician to clean , oil and adjust…
It is a very well made flute, in tune and the mechanism is easy to operate.I recommend it to all looking for an intermediate flute.
