"This is a VERY rare Vintage Armstrong Flute. Serial #H27xx dates the manufacture date to likely sometime around 1974 by renowned flute-maker Jack Moore. Headjoint, body, and footjoint are made of solid white gold, which was part of an extremely limited reserve of which Armstrong has never replenished after it was used. .925 Solid silver keys, Split E mechanism, B Foot with gizmo key.

Although this item is listed as seller-refurbished, as you can see from the photos this flute has been kept in immaculate condition since its purchase. It was recently given a thorough cleaning, tuning, and adjustment by our own professional flute technician who apprenticed under Eldred Spell.

If you have any questions about this instrument, please feel free to ask! We recently had it tested by a local jeweler for authenticity of the white gold, and documentation can and will be sent to any interested buyers.

Shipping fee includes insurance and packing due to the extreme fragility of this item.

Sorry, no returns; we are happy to answer any questions you may have about the authenticity of this instrument before you commit to purchase!"

I wonder if you might be able to help me determine the history of my Heritage by Armstrong Elkhart - the serial number is H 2772. I bought it, as best I can recall, back in the early seventies. I've searched for any site that could identify my flute's year of manufacture by serial number but can't locate one. You mention that H27xx puts it in Jack Moore's hands. Can you help me with this?

Thanks very much
