Phillipe Marcil m1005 flute

Post by danidarkheart »

I'm looking for as much information as I can on Phillipe Marcil flutes. I recently picked up one from an auction house. It's been repadded (before I bought it) and besides a couple of minor dings on the head joint and a little bit of wear on the plated finish, it's in really good shape. I bought it because after not having played for over 10 years I wanted something to play around with. My poor gemeinhardt is going to need a complete overhaul before it's playable again, but I digress. The Phillipe Marcil is simply marked Phillipe Marcil USA with a model #M1005. Any idea on possible age/value of this flute. The case is pretty solid and I would guess that it's the original case, but can't be 100%. I linked to some photos.https://photos.app.goo.gl/P9KSNdtbfvVv2iKv5
