Nomata Flutes???

Hello! My son is looking to upgrade from his student Artley to an intermediate flute on the advise of his teacher. We have come across a Nomata flute that he is interested in. I found the company website but have not been able to find any reviews or feedback from anyone who has actually played or owned one. Does anyone have any experience or info on Nomata Flutes??? Any info would be greatly appreciated!

Nomata is not a well known flute brand, so you'll have a difficult time finding anyone who can comment on it. I looked at ther website and it says that Woodwind and Brasswind is the exclusive U.S. distributor, but when I visit the WWBW site, they don't list the Nomata flute.

Thank you so much for that link! There is so much great information there...it answered many questions that we have and helps in sorting things out.

Nomata is actually a little more well known that some think, just not so much here in the US. It is a Japanese made flute, comparable to Yamaha. I have known international students at universities who play them. I have not personally tried one, so I can not attest to its construction or playability.
