Old Russian Flute Case

This is one photo from a specimen of an old Italian flute called an Argonaut.
I guess you line up the foot to make the holes match up. (?)

You might notice the name Argonaut starts with an a, not a coincidence.
I found the above photos above last night on EBay, but this one comes from my
little Archive of saves.
I should post one a day just to provide a little fun.

Cute lettering but another thing is the absence of a barrel.
Instead, the body just bells out a bit to allow the head joint to fit inside.
