How to Check Altus Serial Numbers for Year of Manufacture?

Dear fellow flute enthusiasts

Does anyone know how one goes about checking Year of Manufacture for 2nd hand flutes?

Muramatsu America & Yamaha USA are amazing in their support on this.
Can somebody know how one can check for Altusses and Miyazawas?
