Hi~ Welcome to the board. There
are 3 brands that are generally recommended to beginners and those would be
Yamaha, Gemienhardt and Armstrong. I personally would recommend a student model
Yamaha. Whatever you decide on I would stay away from those models that
department stores and a few online sources sell such as Lark or First Act. Those
kind of flutes are often called throw away flutes for very good reasons. Good
Luck, Kim

Something I can suggest would be to relax yourself. I know that is very BAD advice! But, just relax your lips and your body. :D Pretend the flute is your friend. The flute is trying to help you play better. Ok? Just think about that. If you have any questions you can message me. Alright?
