Do any of you own a "Symphony Flute"??

Post by Ladyflute »

I have a student whose Mom called me to ask advice on a "Symphony" brand flute - have any of you heard anything about it?? I can't find much on the internet, and I don't know anyone who has played one. Who is it made by? Good - Bad?? How does it compare to the Yamaha "Allegro" (the other flute they are considering?)
She is an intermediate player, and needs a step-up flute for high school. I advised her to take it to our city's #1 flute repair guy for an educated opinion, and I can't wait to see what he says. If you have any info to help me out, I'd really appreciate it! Thanks....

I have never heard of that brand so I figured a search on Ebay would turn something up and it did. My guess is they rank right up there with those flutes sold at local department stores.

I think your advice to take it to the flute repair guy was good advice.

I've never heard of it either; it's probably one of the many obscure student flute makers. Probably not the best instrument.
