:D Hi out there in flute land.. Iam new to this forum..Have been offline for a few years.. got busy doing other things. still busy  but have a computer again..
Does anyone out there remember me at all.?. I used to go by the name
rai 1.
I have rejoined this cyber flute world for the same reason i joined last time round.. not too many flautists in my part of the world..

I am not a music student. Infact i have played my flute for the last (OMG)31years... my flute is my friend/comforter/emotion releaser/ and a constant in my life. I still play the old closed hole silver plated armstrong (thats the one i take to the beach and all other such places. Several years ago i bought my 'ferrari', (sterling silver/open hole/b foot armstrong) and the difference is ofcourse to be heard to be believed..that i leave to more 'civilised settings to play.

I realise that i am in a forum that must mainly be composed of music students and i must say that you guys have always awed me a wee bit. because i have no formal training. self taught playing and reading music.. ( all based on recorder at primary school level)

I guess you could say i am an emotive player and really enjoy playing often by the water (be it river, lake, ocean or puddle lol.)

So even though i possibly have more years up my sleeve (perhaps my sound is purer and improvisation more frequent) i hope to continue my learning process by listening to all the 'bright young things' out there  Maybe a bit of technical problem solving also..

O well better not waffle on toooo long.. Looking forward to chatting.. :)
