Ironically, I was going to post that video this evening as well... but you beat me to it...

Isnt it the coolest thing ever? That video [along with the Charlie the Unicorn video] has taken the Woodwind division of the music department here by storm.

LOOK! It's a magical leopluradon, Charlie!

The beatboxing flautist is amazing - yeah, he's been a sensation at EKU. If you guys haven't seen them, look at his other stuff on YouTube, the Sesame Street theme song and the theme from the Mario Brothers game. They're equally as great!

This guy is really tallented! takes alot of concentration to beatbox and improvise. I have managed to teach myself what he does kindof and its really hard! :x

Since he's playing recognizeable tunes, I don't think it really qualifies as improvising, though there's no denying he has talent. I get the feeling that he would be pretty good flutist without the beatboxing too.

I wonder what kind of flute he plays- it really takes a beating- he is a spokesperson for the heartiness of whatever kind of flute he plays!!

Oh! I LOVE Peter and the Wolf beatbox version...He's also a really good flute player without the beatboxing as well.

If you listen to him playing the airvary from carnival of the animals which is on Youtube somewhere, he doesn't beatbox, and thats still very inpressive, and difficult i think

Yep, that's NYC. Although, if he was playing for money [street playing] he would probably be better off playing on the downtown end of central park at the corner of fifth avenue. Tons of tourists. Although... the horses and carriages smell quite badly....
