normally, prices are in proportion to quality of craftsmanship. Although, even though prices may be high, it doesnt neccessarily mean that the flute will be right for everyone. I once tried a $37k 14k gold flute and hated it. It was a good instrument, but not quite my taste.

Sometimes prices will be lower if the company is new, but still puts out a quality instrument. Then, over time, the company will raise prices as they become more established.

My favorite Pic is the Emerson Boston Legacy! I have not played on I like much better! I own an Armstrong 210, which I am also fond of.

I'd like to know everything and anything you have to say about your flute.

In particular, I'd like to know about the mechanism (precision, reliability, how well it holds adjustments, etc)

Also, what drew you to the Tom Green flute, as opposed to others?

Finally, I'm interested in any other advantages or disadvantages of this flute.

Thanks.
C_Otter, I'd be glad to answer all of that for you, but unfortunately, I'm a bit pressed for time, and couldn't answer you fully. Please keep an eye on your PM box, as I will reply through it either tonight or tomorrow.

No rush. It'll take me at least another year to save up the $$$. Hopefully, I'll have made up my mind by that time.
