Pearl Flutes web site
I tried to pull up the Pearl Flutes web site to get some info for a sudent and got this:
http://www.orpheusmusicalinstruments.com/
Any insight? Any convention goers hear of this? Is there any connection between these and Pearl Flutes? My sources are being very closed lipped about the whole thing, and I am very curious.

okay, what little I know and what I surmised.
These folks used to sell Pearls, and when I spoke to them a few months
ago they were willing to give me an incredible deal. If I could have
swung it I would have even without playing it first.
the next thing I know they have a different brand listed, so I suspect that
they were clearing out their stock to make way for what looks like
their new house brand.
Looks like Pearl is distributing out of Nashville now.

you can still access their site by going to:
http://www.pearlflute.com
This is their International site I guess. The only url difference is that there is no [s] at the end of pearl flute_.

I actually know the whole story through my teacher, but I'm not sure I'm supposed to say (for whatever reason, if you guys aren't sure I don't think I should mention it). However, I will tell you that it involves money (of course) of Orpheus flutes. They ARE only distributing out of Nashville now.

hmmm.... interesting..... almost sounds scandalous by the way you describe it.... Word will probably get around sooner or later. But, seeing as how I dont play a Pearl, I guess I dont really need to know [although I can think of a few people who dropped BIG bucks for a Pearl who would be interested in this....that is if they had bought their flute for more reasons than the fact it was pretty rather than how it matches their playing style.... ]
Re: Pearl Flutes web site
Hi, not sure which website you're trying to get to, but when I go to http://www.pearlflute.com I do not get redirected to orpheus. Maybe you were entering pearlflutes (plural) instead of pearlflute? Give that a shot.fluttiegurl wrote:I tried to pull up the Pearl Flutes web site to get some info for a sudent and got this:
