I'm looking to find a flute choir arrangement of Lux Arumque. I'm not sure if one has been made...if thats the case I'd kind of like to arrange one. It's a gorgeous piece. Here it is in it's original form (choir)

I have played/ sung in this piece before. My University Symphonic Band did a hybrid of the choral piece and the Wind Ensemble arrangement last year. So, we played, and had vocal soloists, then there were parts where it was band and choir, then parts where we all were singing....
I like a lot too, and it would make a very lovely flute ensemble piece. You could try contacting Whitacre for permission to arrange it.

I've contacted Eric Whitacre about arranging. My concert band is doing this piece now, which is how I've gotten into it. We heard the vocal arrangement and it is just gorgeous. How many parts are in the choir form?

several.....
From what I remember, there are two soprano parts, two alto parts, two tenor, a baritone part, and two bass parts.... Most of the time however, they are merely doubling in octaves in the separate voices.... [like the 2nd tenor is doubling the second soprano etc. etc.].
so for a flute choir.... if you have an alto flute and a bass flute available, those would be nice, but it is possible to arrange it without those harmony instruments.
