I have noticed that the picture that is desplayed
as to who you are that there is a very limited about of lady's to chose from
there is 5 female figures and 18 male figures. I think this is very sexist.
there should be about 10 females and 10 males because this dosn't give use a
lot of people to chose from but males have lots to chose from. This is very
sexist. - Flute friend []

We are sorry you feel this way but unfortunately
the bulletin board is another company's software (www.idealbb.com) and they are
the ones who pre-installed these icons. Hopefully they will change this in the
future. Kind Regards, Fluteland.com Support

You shouldn't be worried about how many female
'face displays' there are( I guess you could call them). The web site is used
to express, and give advice on the concerning matter of the flute. Soo, I really
don't think the founder/builder of this great web site is a sexiest. It's
probably not a good idea to do name calling, or being that quick judge. Hannah

Hey i thought that too. It's weird though that it
is sexist towards girls, you'd think it was the other way around. I was quite
disappointed when choosing an avatar, but hey now I'm a cowboy![::)]

I see this is an old topic, but a relevant one. I
took a looooong time trying to figure out which of the five? women I wanted to
be known by. And the avatar is important, I can see straight away by the picture
who has posted to a topic. Visual learning and communication is the top of the
three methods (aural and kinesthetic) and what we use here. I don't think it's
a bad idea for the board to give their company some feedback - after all, isn't
the customer always right? And saying "I think" something is sexist isn't
slander, it's expressing an opinion. Is freedom of speech still in operation -
I don't know, I'm from Australia[]) ANYWAY, one of the members gave a
good suggestion about looking on the web for pictures you like, downloading to
your hard drive and then setting up your avatar. I see quite a few members have
done this. GOOD THINKING[;)] I think I will too, 'cause I'm not even sure if
my avatar at the moment is a woman.... is it? And as for being a cowboy - you go
girl![:p]
