Loose Foot Joint

Post by fluteplayer_10 »

I bought a used Yamaha Flute from a pawn shop recently. It had a loose key f#, but I have fixed that myself. The only other problem is that the foot joint is loose. Not a majorly big deal, I can still play it, however it has fallen off a couple of times. Is there anyway that I can fix that joint myself, or do I have to take it to a repair shop...(Trying not to spend much money, I have none)! Thanks
Jocelyn

a quick fix would be use masking tape or plumbers tape and just put a little piece on the tenon (the part coming from the body). However, this is only a temporary fix and if you go to a good repairs person you can get it done for cheap.
