Post by MissyHPhoenix »

Can anybody give me suggestions of flute music to play at wedding ceremonies and receptions, please. This will be for flute duets, trios, and quartets.

Thanks!

For flute & piano, "Complete Book of Wedding Music for Flute" is a good start and the price is right - $10.95 for a dozen wedding favorites.

Well there's always:

Bach-Gounod Ave Maria
Schubert Ave Maria
Pachelbel's Canon
Bach Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring

I've seen various arrangements for 2 - 4 flutes

Thanks! Is the book of wedding music for more than one flute, or is there a piano line that can be played by a 2nd or 3rd flute?

Cannot comment on the book that pied_piper speaks of, but I have a book "Favorite Wedding Classics" for $8.95 with 15 songs that are scored for 1 -3 flutes which also has a piano accompaniment part available.

there is a great flute quartet verison of Die Moldau avail, thats standard for my quartet. there is a video on youtube of another group playing it (not very well) but that would help give you a better idea of the piece.

Do you know the publisher of that book?

And za1983 -- can you get me the info on the Die Moldau quartet?

Thanks so much!!

I know I am incredibly late in seeing this, but thought you might be interesting in some Wedding Flute Duets I just completed arranging:
