Hi Flutelanders,
I have been experimenting/practising with the intonation on a powell (signature) and a muramatsu (ex), esp. for the 3rd register, and fine the muramatsu scale goes a lot higher, let say starting from E3 (when I play the two with similar embouchures).
While I can get the powell in good intonation with those high notes, I have a hard time getting in an acceptable range.
I have been using the jaw movement and trying to keep a mouth "chamber" to keep the pitches down. Works quite well on the powell, but not so much on the muramatsu, and I assume the modern powell scale is quite similar to the cooper scale (?)
Thanks in advance for any insight/advise.
