Wedding music

Post by twiggy208 »

I'm meant to be playing (just for a few minutes) at my dads wedding this coming July. I'm meant to be playing a short piece while they sign the register, and then again at the handfasting ceremony they're having (A pagan marriage ceremony held on the top of a hill in the Lake District, so all hippy like :P)

I'm not too sure what to play for either, I have an idea about playing the slow melody to Lord of the Dance as i have a wooden fife which would fit with the handfasting theme but I'm stumped as to the other piece. I was thinking of Pachelbels Canon (a classic) but i have no backing what-so-ever and wasnt sure if it would sound good as a solo piece?

And suggestions would be helpful :D

Hey,

I believe the Lord of the dance - shaker tune, would be beautiful for a wedding! For the second song, I thought "Pachelbels canon" sounded great, but here are two other songs called" Imagine Me Without You" and "Lugia's Song". These songs are so beautiful!!! I hope you have fun playing for your Dad's wedding - nothing is as beautiful as flute music :P

The wedding music depends on the religion or culture the couple belongs. I am wedding planner and mostly the most requested wedding music are all love songs. Similarly, you have to play a heartfelt music for your dad's wedding.
