---------------- On 9/8/2003 7:18:59 AM Hi! I'm
just wondering what kind of pieces people are playing, and their levels. Not
everyone on this site will under the same grading system so I'm just curious
about the pieces people play! ----------------
I'm currently working
on.. Anderson, Joachim - 24 Etudes from Op.33 (daily) Bernstein, Leonard -
Candide Suite mvt.1&2 fl1/pic Shostakovich, Dmitri - Folk Dances Berlioz, Hector
- Rakoczy March Bach, J.S. - Toccata and Fugue in D minor Mennin, Peter -
Canzona Handel, G.F. - The Royal Fireworks I'm pretty happy with those pieces
being part of my current musical repertoire as they have proved to be a
challenge to my musical ability.

I've been playing for 1.5 years. My repitoire is
unimpressive. I'm learning a few overtures...recently, i've been playing movie
music. Oh, and my favorite piece at the moment is the concert band arrangement
of Tijuana Brass...grade 3 (not 3rd grade)...which is one level below Syrinx.

I am currently working on "Suite in A Minor" from
Telemann as my solo piece (well, with piano). In flute choir, we're doing a lot
of modern pieces, like "Selections from The Sound of Music" and "Childhood
Favorites." In Youth Band, we're doing "Three English Dances," "Blue Ridge
Overture" and "Vanguard." I don't know what "grade" I am in; that's not
stressed here. I have been playing for 10 months.
---------------- On 9/8/2003 5:49:20 PM Well, I
am working on My Heart Will Go On(Theme from the Titanic). My daughter is
working on Mozart's duet "Vivat Bacchus, Bacchus lebe". I am
not sure about levels as they are not stressed here where we live, but I have
ordered music that is rated 2 + and 3's from Fluteworld for my daughter. It is
funny how different states have grading systems that they stress and some states
do not. Kim ---------------- I just played that song for a concert on May 27,

love to play the lower note (& my dog would be happy) but I can't seem
to find any music? I have my instructor now looking for fun, easy music to help
me while I'm learning the necessary stuff. But so far I haven't found any.
Hopefully I can get to our music store today. I've looked at the sites that
have been mentioned and so far I can't find anything at those sites with the
notes I know. I can do 17 notes comfortably. ----------------
go to
