Flute not The Flute Just Flute At least my bookstore
found that distinction important Good read, written a long time ago as the flute
part of an instrument instruction series. He also has a biography out I don't
know anything about

The flute book "Flute" is available in a new look in
a new edition (not updated). I just ordered it recently off Amazon and really
liked the content. A great flute standard with some nice little anecdotes in it.
He also wrote a biography some 30 years ago. Here is a link to it on Amazon:
