We're doing that piece right now (I
have a picc. solo!!) and I must admit that I do not know the level. However, our
high school band is doing it now, so it's probably not as hard as you think.
But the song isn't super easy, either. I'd have to say that this piece is is
"intermediate" level, and it is definitely above sight- reading level. I hope
that I helped, but I don't think that I completely answered your question. Good
luck![:sun:]

First of all congratulations on your
upcoming trip to Carnegie Hall. You must be thrilled !! I have never heard the
song you mentioned but a quick Google Search brought up this site below and it
was rated Easy Medium/Medium. http://music.netstoreusa.com/mb9/WBmb9757.shtml

It is sometimes listed as a level 2
and sometimes a 2+. Like most band music it is beginner to intermediate level
for Middle school band.

I've never played that song or
heard of it, but it sounds interesting. I'll look it up.

Its a shame school bands cant play
any more difficult songs but there are so many weak player that couldn't handle
it if they tried and most of em dont try. Beyond first or sometimes second chair
playing anyting harder than level 2 would be a disaster.
