I'm a freshman in high school, and I am pretty decent. One thing I've noticed about my playing is that it takes a long long time for me to get to "full working power" (upwards of 45 minutes). Then I last for the rest of the day. I was able to force that time down to 5 minutes, but then it would only last 30 minutes. I've consulted others, and they all seem to agree with the "long warmup, high endurance" thing but the problem is that at auditions and band class I don't have one hour to warm up XD
Is there some kind of middle ground that I could take?
