Changing things should be a constant possibility in the tool chest of flute technique!
The body changes over time, hands get tired, chapped lips interfere, one has to play with a cold....
Stay flexible and your ears open. I had to change a pile of things in my late 30's and I'm glad I did...I'm reaching levels of playing I never thought I could reach! Yay!
