Hello,
This is my first post here , but I wanted to know what you guys look for in wooden headjoints, or if you think they are worth having. I'm thinking that I want a Grenadilla head, but I have seen some with lip plates and some without. Also, I've seen some that are "bubble" like piccolos are. Do any of these variables make desirable differences, or should I just pick what fits me best?
Thanks in advance!

I have had my share of transverse wood/composite headjoints. The first thing is not to look for perfection. I have never played on 2 that were alike. The second is just playing on the different types to see what you prefer.
