Hi, I am new to learning the flute, it
is something I always wanted to do as a child (but wasn''t allowed) and now
that my daughter is learning I have taken the opportunity to take private
lessons. However I have been asked to practice scales and I have just learnt
B,A,G,D,E,F,G#,Bb and high D,E,F and am still trying to get used to them -
therefore I am finding this difficult - has anyone got any good techniques that
may help me? Whistler

Once you add the high C (C2) to the
notes you are trying to master you will be set for the F Major scale. Try to
play it very slowly repeating each note twice and focus on producing good sound.
This is the sequence: (extra long) F, G, G, A, A, B flat, B flat, C2, C2, D2,
D2, E2, E2, (extra long) F2. And then you repeat the whole thing backwards. Hope
this helps Monika
