FG18: thanks for the info.
A woman always has Advil in her purse (but I always travel with a fanny pack instead).
But I small point and shoot camera is a good idea since the one on my phone isn't too good (Hubby is bringing his DSLR but won't be going to the convention with me).
The pools look fabulous and I know that temps in August in Las Vegas can be in the 100s (we were there for our 10th anniversary but stayed at the Bellagio across the street). For us musicians, their water shows choreographed to music are just beautiful.

Good idea about the snacks too, yes, food IS very expensive in Las Vegas, but there was a Walgreens down the street where you could buy snacks/breakfast items.

Re: Advice on attending NFA
I've been meaning to bump this back into view and I finally got around to it.
I'll be attending the NFA convention and hope to meet some of you there. Cflutist, fluteguy18, anyone else going to be there? Maybe we can plan a time and place where we can have a mini get together of the Fluteland members!
Cflutist - I'm playing in the opening Flute orchestra too. I just received the parts by email. I look forward to seeing you there.

Re: Advice on attending NFA
We should go for dinner one evening! I'm free to do whatever I want once we finish restocking the booth after the showroom closes. (From what I hear, that process takes about 1.5 hours, but the showroom closes at 5pm usually). The only conflict that I would have would be that Miyazawa always takes most of the CNMC crew to dinner one night.
Re: Advice on attending NFA
Hubby and I are flying out Monday, so we'll be there Sunday night after the Convention closes. Will need to look at the schedule to see what I'm doing every night. I saw some things that were 3-up and I'll need to decide which is my top pick for that time slot.
