What other instruments do you play?

Post by whsmusicguy05 »

I''ve been reading these forums
for a little while now, and I was just wondering what other instruments you all
play and how long you''ve been playing them. Obviously we all play flute (this
is my 7th year on flute). For Me: Piccolo - about a year and a half Clarinet-
about 5 years Alto Sax - about 3 years Bassoon - about 10 months Trumpet - about
5 months Trombone - about a year and a half Euphonium - about a year Percussion
- about a year and a half Handbells - 5 and a half years I also play piano, but
not ver ywell, and I"m not sure holw long lol.

Holy crap! That's a lot. I used to
play handbells.. but need a new choir. The only other instrument I play (other
than picc) is piano. No time or interest for anything else!
Cheers,
Emily

lot, but it's not really once you get there. Whenever other instruments get in
the way of my fluting, I pretty much forget about them for a short time.

Me: sax: played previously for two
years, can still play it enough to substitute for somebody's part clari: own
one and occasionally play when I need a practicing break from the flute, could
probably substitute for somebody as long as the music doesn't prove TOO
difficult keyboard & piano: can pick out notes and can play chopsticks but
that's it [:p] violin: am currently attempting to learn on my own. I do wish to
expand my music knowledge beyond just band and woodwinds

There are a lot of very talented people on here. :)

Me:
Flute - 3 years
Piccolo (although I guess it doesn't really count as a separate instrument, does it?) - 2 years
Piano - 5 years
Tenor sax - less than 2 months

Bari sax! (rock on) I've been playing it for 5 months and am offically the only one left at my high school. I also play piano, handbells and want to learn everything but specificaly cello and I probably should learn piccalo.
