Sell Price vs. Asking

I'm interested to know if anyone has been able to purchase at a price significantly under the asking price?
Particulary flutes over say $5,000 and at a discounted price of 25% or more?
If you can specify if the purchase was from a dealer or private party.

This is the one aspect of researching that I haven't been able to nail down so I really appreciate the help.
