c foot or b

Hi everyone , I gave my yamaha away and just bought a new beautiful mura ex , I wanted the b foot but the vendor had only one sample with b foot but quite a few with c , the c foot I chose was much nicer in tone than the b foot (obviously the main result due to the HJ), so I took it home but he will get a few more sample of ex with b foot from another branch and I will them have the chance to upgrade he will also have a gx which i will try out , My question is . like the thing with full silver body vz plated. Is there really a difference in sound . tone acoustics , you name it, between a c foot and a b foot flute , if we could use the same HJ for both..

I don't necessarily think there's an audible difference usually, but there is a distinct difference in the way that the two feel when the player gets into the upper register. It's just a matter of preference usually. Most flutes in the US come with a B foot standard. In Europe I hear that C foot is a bit more common.

Thanks fluteguy18, that is also my impression , the thing is that Itied out 4 ex c foot samples to try and I chose the one which suited me best, unbelievable sound , but was disappointed with the b foot.In addition, the upper tone were more difficult to produce . anyway ill be trying another 2 b foot later this week and a gx ,, Thanks again

'Resistance' in the upper register when compared to a c foot is very common and some would say a characteristic of the b foot. Some think it is more/less stable. Some say that it gives you more control over intonation. My only preference for a b foot is because I have on occasion needed the low b. You can however use extensions made from various materials (paper, cardboard, metal tubing) to reach the low b if you have a c foot.
