buying a flute on ebay???

Post by agneskrob »

Hello All,

I am Agnes and I live in England. I am looking into trying to learn the flute. I am 27 years old so I'm not looking into it as a career, more as a hobby as everynow and then I like to learn something new that I have never tried before. I can't afford to buy a new flute and even the webpages that I have found that sell used ones are still quite expensive. The only other option I have found has been ebay. I was just wondering what everyone thought of this option. Is it safe and could a flute for £40 be any good. I'm not expecting to play in concerts so really only want something that I can teach myself on and maybe have a few lessons. Any suggestions or advice is appreciated. Take care.

Sincerley,

Agnes

Sorry Agnes, but I highly doubt a flute of that price would do much god, I would wait and save up. Although many cases it is safe to buy off Ebay, you can't do the one most important thing.

TRY IT!

Go to a music store, many sell used flutes. Get a beginner model and TRY BEFORE YOU BUY!

I would say dont spend too much but buy a flute from a reliable buyer. It could be on Ebay, many people have had successful transactions. So go with your instict.

Good Luck
