The Quena Flute

Post by JEChilbert »

Hello everybody, first time flueland.com user here. I was just curious to see if anyone was familiar with a flute called a Quena Flute. I just bought it and have already fallen in love with its primitve and bold sound. I was curious to see if there are any online teachers who are familiar with this instrument, or, if anyone just has some basic pointers for a first time fluitist. Thanks!

I think this instrument is from South America, right? My first idea was for you to try to get in touch with Pedro Eustache, a great wind virtuoso (he plays SO MANY instruments!!!). I don't know his website address but it's probably easy to find through a search engine. good luck!

La quena

Post by Lobi »

Hola: mi nombre es claudio, soy de Argentina, la quena es una flauta desarrollada en caña de Bambu, y es una maravilla. Hay diferentes quenas, pero las mas comunes son en Sol (G) tambien los quenachos en Do(C) o re (D)

saludos
