Silver flutes have the same amount of energy as plated flutes. Both have 0 energy. The only energy in a flute is what the player puts into it.

All of the flutes you listed should be solid silver or even sterling silver.

The parts of an "all-silver" flute that are not made from silver include:
- Pivot screws
- Hinge rods
- Hinge pins (except flutes with a pinless mechanism)
- Adjusting screws (when used)
- Pads
- Pad retainers or grommets vary - some are silver, some not.
- Headjoint stopper and cork
- Felt and cork bumpers/silencers

Because this is a flute forum, I'll leave the physics discussion of energy vs. matter (E=mc squared) to some other forum.

Thanks.

I was just wondering, if an ALL silver flute weights 440 grams total, how much of that is silver, and how much of that is steel, felt, cork, etc. ?
