When Can I Look for a Flute Teacher?

Hello everyone, first post here. I'm an adult player getting back into flute after many years away. Just before Covid-19 and shelter in place, I was getting ready to look for a flute teacher here in the SF Bay Area.

Now, I'm wondering when it might be possible to start looking for in-person lessons (which I'd prefer to online lessons).

I know I could just start contacting teachers to see how they're proceeding. However, I was wondering if anyone here has given the challenge of in-person lessons these days some thought and had any guidance? Thanks for any advice!

Hmm, no replies, so thought I'd bump this to see if anyone knows the status of in-person flute teaching right now in the U.S. due to the pandemic. Are flute teachers feeling comfortable about teaching in person these days, or is instruction all online?

I suspect this will vary by region because some areas are having more cases of COVID than others. Call around your area to see what you can find. Try calling music stores, schools, and universities for suggestions.

There are are number of teachers offering online lessons. Try a Google search to find them.
