What is the best flute in the world? Why? It doesn't have to be one you own, it can be your dream flute. I just want to know and see what people prefer. So, in other words, if you had a limitless supply of cash, what flute would be the one you would buy? What's your reason?
To answer my own question, I honestly can't say. I haven't been playing flute for long enough but I guess I shall go do some research. =)
In your opinion...

A flute that is completely reliable, never needs adjusting, has a rich tone color, a versatile sound, is durable. I'd have it be a silver flute with a gold headjoint and gold keys...I love the two-tone look and I like the qualities of both metals!
Haha, this one is my favorite:

Wow, I just want to have the chance to FIND a perfect dream flute. Mine would be something rich and complex (probably a deep wood, mehagony color I guess or darker) for the body, pure silver keys that were engraved with my pattern of wild roses on growing vines that twist around the key. The head joint would be of the same complex material w/o any kind of lip plate, like my concert piccolo, but have my brand w/ the same engraveings in it where the lip plate should be. B-foot, split E, off set G, ever lasting pads that kept themselves perfectly clean, perfect tune all the time, best lower registers my ears have ever heard.... Just that last part would make me happy, I wouldn't care about the rest really. I could live with the lower being full, rich, dark, magestic, pure.... But that deals more w/ me then my current flute lol Oh, while dreaming about the perfect flute, make it have the lightest keys ever made!
*sigh* One can only dream.... And save up some extra money! One day, just yall wait, one day I'll have my perfect flute. One day

Dang, that costs more then my truck. (Wow, thats sad) But it is a really nice looking flute.... But you could always but it bit by bit or just save up the money for a car and use it on it instead. Ah, oh well, so my dream flute would cost a trunk load. I can still dream! *snatches dream and runs out door*
