Valse Tempo??

Im playing La Juive for a Solo and the sheet just says Tempo di Valse as the tempo with no specific number. Can anyone tell me the tempo range of Valse..??

sorry about the late response...

I would listen to some waltzes (Ravel, Strauss, etc) to see how waltzes are actually played. There is really a specific feel to it. It is a dance, but it is somewhat free. Aside from sticking with the metronome, I think familiarity with the style itself is very important here.
