Piccolo fingerings

Post by BandSlave »

I know how to finger a fourth octive D flat on the
flute, and, therefore, am aware that the B-foot is needed, but for a piece I am
playing on piccolo (With Heart and Voice), there is written a fourth octive D
flat, I have no clue how to play this on the piccolo, if there is an alternate
fingering, I would appreciate if you could show me/tell me how to execute it.
Thank you! Please tell me asap, I'm dying to know![8)]

I wish I could help you out. I just started playing
flute and piccolo (a month ago). I can't play above F3 and I can't imagine
what a D4 would sound like! Good Luck Gerry G

[:p] I think that what you're looking for is the 4th
octave Db on piccolo or Db7? There are many alternate fingerings available,
I'll start you with one: 2 G# 1 D# 3 Eb left right (D# meaning the trill) I
will monitor this post. So let me know if you are having a problem with the
pitch and I'll give you a different fingering.

hm...I'll try that, but I'm not sure how it'll
work, I don't really understand the fingering you suggested, I'm not
accustomed to the notes and the numbers...but I'll try and thank you very
much!! Yours, Abby[:)]
