I just bought a used Bundy flute, which I am trying to learn to
play. I have trouble getting my mouthpiece positioned correctly. How do I line
it up with the body of the flute?

There are two free video lessons on our site that will show you
in great detail how to assemble, align and maintain the flute. Just go to
www.fluteland.com, click on online lessons, open the lesson window, and select
video lessons. You will see these lessons there and they should help you
greatly. Good luck!

Thank you I have now mastered the alignment. Now I have noticed I
can play the notes 2nd Octave or even 3rd, but have trouble with the 1st Octave.
Why is that?[:)]

The lower octave asks for more pressure of the lips and more air.
It is harder to produce notes clearly and to sustain them. These notes simply
need quite a bit of practice. I think many of the video-lessons that we have
would help you a great deal. They focus on all the flute-playing basics and
would give you accurate information, which is essential for a beginner. In any
case, best of luck.
