Sankyo Flutes
What is the name of the first "level" of flute that Sankoy produces? I can't seem to find that info anywhere. I know that they once produced a flute called the Etude, but I have heard rumor that theyproduce another flute that they consider to be below that. Does anyone know? I have little experience with that particular company, and I am asking for a student who is looking to upgrade in the very near future.

This is the lowest flute I could find on their official page. So, I assume that this is their most up to date listing. It is the CF 201
Here is what It had to say on their webpage.
"This most popular of the SANKYO flutes,
is designed with the advanced Student in mind.
The head joint is of sterling in keeping with SANKYO's dedication to enable every flutist to produce a beautiful tone with its Precise balanced construction is capable of the professional sound of all silver flutes.
Head joint = Hand-cut sterling silver
Body, Foot, Key Mechanism = Nickel Silver
with Silver Plating finished
Tubing = 0.40 mm
Available with
open or covered holes
NEL or E-mechanism
C foot or B foot"
Hope this helps! I have no Idea what the CF stands for. Conservatory Flute (level) maybe? This is the lowest level I could find on their page.
I would consider emailing them and asking.
