A simple COA (without complexities) on a simple yamaha 221 flute has been bedded down pat, almost a veteran now, just don't ask me to touch any pins, springs or bend any keys/rods.
A little overconfident, I proceeded to my Allegro (with E mech) & B foot without an idiot's guide (eg step by step instruction) for the "added complexity"...(mickey mouse for you)
Seemed intuitive enough... but guess what had to retrace steps several times to fit the jigsaws eg lift keys to fit trills through here and there... and to pre hook the F spring when finally found where it is (took a while to find out why F key wouldn't budge). Done.
Now for the chromatic test - I must say the chromatic test is good, I would've missed out the new problem (still current) of why F# is playing F. nnnnnNGHH! Something is causing the F# to play F and I am missing a semitone - the F# is playing an F, whilst F still plays F - hence I get double F. Some help to demystify would be appreciated.
Am scouring my books for a map & key for springs.
