Because I am in desperate need of some, and I finally have money to purchase them, but I have no idea where to look. I don't even know if I know what all I need to keep it clean between practices. (I am using a friend's way old student model flute, and she didn't have any spare cleaning rods or whatever they're called.)
I know I've been told the technical terms before, but this late at night they're escaping me - there's three or four things I need, and I know they're cheapish.
If anyone knows of any stores in the Richmond, KY area, or has any links to stores online that are reliable, I'd be really appriciative.
Where to go to buy flute cleaning supplies?

Fluteworld carries just about any maintainance item you could need. I'd check their website. Chances are you'll need a cleaning rod and cloth, possibly a second cloth for polishing, and that's about it. Some people use pad papers, but I find prevention (ie not eating immediately before playing, and brushing your teeth ahead of time) is the best solution for sticky pads, not to mention that misused papers can actually do harm to the flute. But anyway, check out fluteworld.com. They should have what you need.
