Opinion Sought - PEARL Flute PF665E Dolce & Headjoint

Post by flutego12 »

This is an open question to all in general but specifically for Joe Butky, the Pearl now Altus expert ...

I wonder if you would comment on the merits of this flute issue

Made in Japan
Headjoint cut - see Photo (Vivo cut?)

Thank you.

I use to own the Non-Dulce model. Great flute, but mine had the stock headjoint. I really loved playing on it. I once tried it with a Forte headjoint. Was in the market for it right before my flute was stolen.

665 are Taiwan made, not Japan.. Dolce is a 695, these used to be made in Japan and were most often supplied with a Vivo Headjoint. Can't tell from the picture, but if it's a Vivo it will be marked below the crown. If not, it is most likely a PH-6.

Thank you for your input Phineas and JoeButky.

From your comments it would appear that there are huge inconsistencies in the seller claims.
eg
665 but dolce
665 and made in Japan
vivo cut
flutist with a screwdriver

I hear you... you really miss your missing Pearl, don't you - such a travesty of justice when it walks :|
