Hey, I have been playing flute for a long
time and I am now trying to learn some new techniques like tongue stops and
multiphonics. I am getting pretty good at it and am looking for some music to
apply my skills. If anyone knows the names of some pieces rather than just
places to get them that would be AWESOME. Oh, I am currently working at about a
level 4- to a 4 so most music is OK. I know that Robert Dick is like THE GUY for
contemporary stuff, but I''ve just started learning those techniques and I
think most of his stuff is a bit over my head.

you may want to look into varese -
density 21.5, fukushima - mei, which have fewer extended techniques, but some to
get you started. you may know of robert dick's book, the other flute, which
goes extensively into how to play extended techniques. for a very comprehensive
list of extended technique pieces i suggest going to this website:
http://mypage.uniserve.ca/~lwk/etrep.htm it's great and it has the different
levels by the pieces. good luck!!
