Jupiter 767 vs Yamaha yas23........roughly same price, used, clean horns..........which one would you buy?
Hope all of you are doing well.

Re: Alto Sax Question
I can't speak about the Jupiter, but the Yamaha YAS-23 is a solid , beginner level instrument. I recently got one locally in need of some work. I just finished a full repad on it and it plays very nicely. It has decent tone and intonation. A good, clean used YAS-23 typically sells for about $500. That's what I plan to sell this one for. So, if you find one for less and it doesn't need any work, that's a good buy. If it needs some adjustments or other work, the price should be lowered accordingly. Also, Yamaha parts are readily available so that's another plus for the Yammie.

Re: Alto Sax Question
After all was said and done I ended up buying a pristine Yamaha YAS-26. I got what I thought was a good price on it.
