I've picked up the flute (and piccolo!) again after at 10 year break - so lovely to be playing again! however my stave note reading is awful, so i've been putting together the 'letter' notes of songs i've enjoyed playing:

Hey! You know, I don't know any songs in that format, but its really hard to read music in letter form because you can't see how long each note lasts. I understand that music reading and theory isn't easy, but you should go on ahead and get it over with and learn how to read music. Here are some links that might be able to get you started in reading music. Hope this helps whether you realize it or not, you just should enable yourself. Its like never learning how to ad 12+6 because you think you will always have a calculator.
